Corporate Projects Officer

RTÉ is Ireland's national public-service media organisation. A leader in Irish media, RTÉ provides comprehensive, cost-effective, free-to-air multi-media services to the public in Ireland and interested audiences internationally.
RTÉ wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to the position of Corporate Projects Officer.
There are ongoing needs in terms of regulatory reporting requirements, stakeholder management and strategic projects. The Corporate Projects Officer will assist with strategic project management support, stakeholder management and engagement opportunities, corporate statutory reporting, and other corporate projects as required.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Projects - supporting delivery by liaising with project teams including contributing to report updates, organising meetings, communicating agendas and actions
- Corporate Reporting Support – sourcing, compiling relevant data, information, assisting with the writing and preparation of statutory reports, and other reports as required
- Correspondence Management– drafting, managing and filing correspondence as required
- Stakeholder Mapping and Information Management – ensuring that stakeholder contact databases are maintained and accurate and the development of regular stakeholder communications
- Stakeholder Engagement Event Support – identifying stakeholder engagement opportunities, managing RSVP lists, event planning and administration, AV booking, hospitality
- Document preparation – drafting, proofing and editing; laying out documents such as stakeholder and statutory reports or presentations to house style as required
- Diary Management – organising appointments with internal and external stakeholders as required
- Basic account processing - PO orders, invoices, Agresso, account management
- Project Administration Support – project planning and minute taking
- Assisting with key deliverables to external stakeholders across compliance, reports and external relations
- General administrative and organisational support
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent organisation skills – planning, prioritising and scheduling work, information management
- Excellent formal writing and numeracy skills
- Research capabilities – on topics such as media policy or ESG developments
- Strong analytical skills – using data and insights to draw conclusions
- Project management skills and experience
- Word – ability to draft wording and edit text, and format documents to a high professional standard
- Power Point – ability to prepare presentations to high professional standard · Excellent Excel skills – reports, analysis, data inputting etc
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- In Design or Adobe Photoshop– good design skills to assist in the preparation of key stakeholder reports, e-vites, etc desirable
Key Attributes and Qualities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal with people at all levels
- Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems
- Good awareness of political and social landscape
- Good awareness of overall media trends and information
- Excellent knowledge of RTÉ remit, output and role within Irish life
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Ability to prioritise and workplan effectively
Relevant Experience (a minimum of two years in one or more of these areas):
- Knowledge and experience of media regulatory environment advantageous
- Previous experience in compliance reporting
- Experience in project management involving internal and external stakeholders
- Preparation of presentation materials/documents for publication
- Previous experience in sustainability reporting and knowledge of ESG standards
This position will be offered on a 2-year fixed term basis on the Administrative 1 Grade from €42,091 to €57,005 gross per annum.
