ESG ADVISOR (UK & IRELAND)

We are currently recruiting for an ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Advisor (UK & Ireland) based in North Dublin.
Role Overview:
This role covers the OCS Group in the UK & Ireland, reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manger (UK&I)
The ESG Advisor has responsibility for the ESG engagement process across the business and with customers. The role will require significant engagement with internal stakeholders (e.g Bid, Sales, Social Mobility, Communications teams) and external stakeholders (e.g Customers) to ensure all aspects of ESG bid input and customer engagement is best in class.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Functional
- Manage and co-ordinate the ESG input for the bid and tendering process, working alongside multiple teams and divisions across the business to ensure ESG support is consistent. When required attend prospective customer meetings to present ESG solutions.
- Support and engage with customers on ESG requirements and initiatives – conducting customer site visits when required ( UK & Ireland).
- Update [PT1] and manage our central ESG content hub.
- Ensure ESG data is captured across our customer base and can be integrated to Group reporting.
- Conduct regular horizon scanning of upcoming regulations and initiatives related to ESG and the facilities management industry.
- Assist with the delivery of various ESG related reports, presentations and dashboards for customers and bid teams.
- Collation and coordination of ESG best practices across all division, working with marketing and communications teams to create case studies and collateral for the ESG content hub.
- Support operational team with the investigation of environmental incidents when required.
- Develop and deliver training material for operational teams on ESG topics.
- Support operational teams with conducting carbon impact assessments for their contracts.
- Avoid conflict of interests between personal interests and the interests of the UK & Ireland group.
- Exercise independent judgment, reasonable care, skill and diligence when carrying out their duties.
- Act in good faith and promote the long-term success of each company within the UK & Ireland group for the benefit of all members and wider stakeholders.
- Adhere to and promote the UK & Ireland group’s policies on equality & diversity, information security, health and safety and data protection in the performance of their duties and the management of the departmental function reporting into them.
- Support and promote the UK & Ireland group’s sustainability plans and policies, including the Carbon Management Plan, and carry out duties in a resource effective way, recognizing the shared responsibility of minimizing negative environmental impacts wherever possible.
Necessary
- At least 1-3 years of experience in ESG
- Good understanding and experience of bids/tenders
- Customer facing and presenting experience
- Excellent communicator, with proven stakeholder management skills and ability to influence at all levels.
- Drivers license
- Experience within facilities management and/or construction industry
- Understanding of carbon and/or energy reporting
- Understanding of Social Value
- Applicants with qualifications in Sustainability/ESG/Social Value
- Show flexibility in working arrangements to ensure that a high level of service is delivered
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Have a positive and focused attitude when dealing with all colleagues

- Full time (37.5 hours per week) and such additional hours as are necessary for the proper fulfilment of the role, although would consider an element of flexible working.
- Office based with frequent travel to customer sites around the UK and Ireland, dependent on business needs. This role may require overnight stays.
