Senior Operations Manager - Security

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager in the Security Division.
Purpose of the role:
To lead the Value Stream and Business Unit teams through the different improvements and changes in line with best-in-class principles and practices delivering successful business KPI performance in keeping with our business priorities of EHS, Quality Service and Cost.
Main duties & responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Operational strategic site objectives.
- Lead and develop Operations staff in a manner that will facilitate employee development, identifying training needs, stretch assignments and opportunities for development.
- Ensure the Operations Function and Business Unit teams conform to Corporate, Statutory, Legislative and Regulatory requirements for QHSE.
- Ensure responsibilities under the Quality System as defined in the Quality Manual are attained and maintained by Operations employees.
- Ensure all HSE requirements are fulfilled in accordance with the responsibilities defined in the Company Safety Statement and Environmental policy and actively promote Health & Safety ensuring Health & Safety is a goal for all direct / indirect reports.
- Responsible for creating a culture of development and inclusion, to retain talent and develop a robust succession plan throughout the organisation.
- Build and maintain an environment of innovative continuous improvement, focusing on quality, cost reduction, process development and supply.
- Ensure regular communication of business performance/issues to all relevant employees.
- Manage expenses and direct labour costs to budget.
- Lead the business transformation programme ensuring it is embraced and supported.
- Provide leadership within the Business Unit, to deliver superior business results in-line with objectives.
- Ensure there is close collaboration between shared services and finance.
- All employees are responsible for minimising both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform.
- Flexibility of working hours is required to carry out this role which is subject to weekends.
- Previous Operations management experience in security and extensive knowledge operating within a multi-site / service sector environment is essential.
- Security QQI Level 6 or above/ equivalent is desirable for this role.
- Proven track record in delivering effective customer service whilst maintaining appropriate operating margins.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety with proven working knowledge of delivering safety advice, safety initiatives and support within your areas of control.
- You will be self-motivated, and results orientated with effective inter – personal skills and can communicate at all levels.
- Management of high-end portfolios and contracts.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and delegate effectively to direct reports Ability to mentor and develop staff, counselling and coaching as necessary.
