Senior Operations Manager - Security

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager in the Security Division.
Purpose of the role:
To lead the Value Stream and Business Unit teams through the different improvements and changes in line with best-in-class principles and practices delivering successful business KPI performance in keeping with our business priorities of EHS, Quality Service and Cost.
Main duties & responsibilities:

Develop and implement the Operational strategic site objectives.
Lead and develop Operations staff in a manner that will facilitate employee development, identifying training needs, stretch assignments and opportunities for development.
Ensure the Operations Function and Business Unit teams conform to Corporate, Statutory, Legislative and Regulatory requirements for QHSE.
Ensure responsibilities under the Quality System as defined in the Quality Manual are attained and maintained by Operations employees.
Ensure all HSE requirements are fulfilled in accordance with the responsibilities defined in the Company Safety Statement and Environmental policy and actively promote Health & Safety ensuring Health & Safety is a goal for all direct / indirect reports.
Responsible for creating a culture of development and inclusion, to retain talent and develop a robust succession plan throughout the organisation.
Build and maintain an environment of innovative continuous improvement, focusing on quality, cost reduction, process development and supply.
Ensure regular communication of business performance/issues to all relevant employees.
Manage expenses and direct labour costs to budget.
Lead the business transformation programme ensuring it is embraced and supported.
Provide leadership within the Business Unit, to deliver superior business results in-line with objectives.
Ensure there is close collaboration between shared services and finance.
All employees are responsible for minimising both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform.
Flexibility of working hours is required to carry out this role which is subject to weekends.

Experience:

Previous Operations management experience in security and extensive knowledge operating within a multi-site / service sector environment is essential.
Security QQI Level 6 or above/ equivalent is desirable for this role.
Proven track record in delivering effective customer service whilst maintaining appropriate operating margins.
Good understanding of Health & Safety with proven working knowledge of delivering safety advice, safety initiatives and support within your areas of control.

Personal Characteristics/Attributes:

You will be self-motivated, and results orientated with effective inter – personal skills and can communicate at all levels.
Management of high-end portfolios and contracts.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and delegate effectively to direct reports Ability to mentor and develop staff, counselling and coaching as necessary.
