About the Role:
Our client, a prominent ICT solutions provider, is hiring a Print Technical Support Engineer to join their technical services team in the Munster region. This role focuses on delivering technical services for print and personal computing solutions, with primary responsibilities in managing service requests, incidents, and problem tickets. Occasional travel outside Munster may be required based on demand, with scheduling optimized for efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

• Ticket Management: Handle assigned service requests, incidents, and problem tickets, collaborating with specialists as needed.
• Installations and Deployments: Lead or assist in refreshes and new deployments of print and PC hardware.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct proactive checks and firmware updates for print and personal computing devices.
• Reactive Break-Fix Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including part replacements, consumable replenishments, and firmware updates.
• Security Event Response: Participate in remediation efforts for industry-wide security issues, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaboration with Vendors: Work with key vendors (e.g., HP, Safecom, Euro Forms) to resolve tickets as appropriate.
• Project Support: Complete assigned tasks within project scope, including thorough documentation and reporting.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on developments in print and personal computing technology to provide the best possible service to clients.
• Flexibility: Support other technical teams as needed during peak demand, holidays, or for specific project requirements.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Professional Experience: 3+ years in print and/or personal computing technical support with customer-facing responsibilities.
• Certifications: Certifications from HP or other relevant print/PC service providers are an asset.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in embedded print applications (e.g., Safecom, Jet Advice) is highly desirable.
