The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Dev Ops to lead our Development Operations Team to new heights. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of driving operational excellence, shaping our Dev Ops strategy, and ensuring our software solutions meet the highest standards.


What you’ll do:

• Strategic Leadership: Set and execute the vision for our software development operations, collaborating closely with heads of Development, QA, Architecture, and other key stakeholders.

• Process Innovation: Continuously refine and enhance our operational processes, ensuring seamless integration with Product Management, Customer Services, and Professional Services teams.

• Team Management: Lead a high-performing team of Dev Ops engineers, overseeing branch management, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code activities to deliver secure, on-demand software builds.

• Quality & Security Focus: Design CI/CD pipelines that prioritize quality and security, ensuring our software solutions are robust, reliable, and ready for deployment across various environments.

• Roadmap Ownership: Take charge of the Dev Ops roadmap, setting clear timelines, measuring success, and aligning with business objectives.

• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with peers across the organisation to ensure alignment with business needs, facilitating smooth and high-quality software releases.

• Tooling & Automation: Manage and optimize our Dev Ops tools and automation capabilities, from Git Hub to Kubernetes, driving efficiency and innovation in our development pipeline.

• Culture Building: Champion a Dev Ops culture within CR2, fostering growth, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.
• Release Management: Own the release management process, ensuring all software releases are production-ready and meet our rigorous standards.

What you bring:

• Expertise: A degree in a relevant field and over 10 years of experience in enterprise software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of Dev Ops principles, CI/CD tools, cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), and microservice architectures.

• Agile Experience: Proficient in agile methodologies, with a strong grasp of web application programming, API design, and system architecture.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, driving performance and fostering a collaborative, innovative culture.

• Communication: Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels and translating complex ideas into clear, actionable strategies.

• Global Perspective: Experience leading multi-functional IT teams across different geographies, with a strong understanding of global operational environments.
