Health & Safety Officer
Dublin

The ideal candidate will have previous site experience and a strong commitment to ensuring a safe working environment. You will be responsible for implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Identify potential hazards and assess risks to develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide training and support to staff on health and safety practices, including conducting Health & Safety inductions for all new hires and providing manual handling training.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, prepare detailed incident reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with management, site staff and Project Managers to promote a culture of safety within the company.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and legislation in health and safety.
- Work alongside the health and safety Manager to work towards retaining ISO 45001 certification.
- Minimum 3-5 Years experience in Health and Safety role, preferably in a construction environment. (previous site experience required)
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Working Knowledge of ISO standards and the ISO certification process.
- Knowledge of Environmental and Health & Safety systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
