Operations Manager – Chain of Coffee Shops

General Summary:
The Operations Manager has an opportunity to join the Operations Team of a fast-growing chain of Coffee Shops and will be responsible for the day to day running of the Coffee Shops whilst ensuring each coffee shop is achieving agreed KPIs. Also heavily involved in new Coffee Shop openings.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Be involved in the planning and opening of new Coffee Shops which are planned for Q4 2024 and all of 2025.
  • Manage the existing coffee shops, maintaining, developing and enhancing their performance
  • Ensure the profitability of the coffee shops by growing sales and ensuring each one stays in line with its allocated wage budget
  • Maximize the business potential of each coffee shop and contribute to the overall business objectives
  • Develop strong relationships with each of the coffee shops Management teams and other teams within the various departments in Central Offices
  • Maintain costs allocated to each coffee shop, through good management practices and team management
  • Ensure excellent customer service is been delivered within each coffee shop using the support services of our Training & Development Department
  • Provide accurate and relevant information on competitor activity and other trade information to the Senior Management team
  • Ensure all coffee shops without exception, comply with all legislation with an emphasis on Welfare, Health & Safety
  • Compile store visit reports ensuring they are completed in full and sent on the day of each visit to the Business Head & Senior Management Team
  • Generate weekly reports on sale targets and wage budgets, ensuring that all coffee shops are up to date on their KPIs
  • Set achievable targets for each coffee shop on a weekly basis
  • Complete all administrative tasks accurately and within the deadline provided
  • All other ad- hoc duties as assigned
Key Skills/Experience required:
  • Minimum of 3-4 years Management experience within a highly customer-focused environment, ideally within a coffee shop environment
  • Proven experience of managing people, ideally across multiple sites
  • Considerable knowledge of coffee shops and operations
  • Previous responsibility for store profitability and standards
  • Proven track record in the setting of and delivery of results and achievement of targets
  • High Level of Commercial Awareness
  • Ability to work on own initiative, as well as operationally as a part of a team
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • Experienced in training and developing teams
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven track record in compliance of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
  • Positive “can do” attitude
  • Excellent working knowledge of IT systems & Microsoft packages

Pay: €35,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
