Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.
With the most modern dairy manufacturing facilities in 6 locations on a cross-border basis, the Group supplies to a broad customer base including some of the world’s foremost ‘blue chip’ companies across the dairy food ingredients, foodservice and consumer food channels on a domestic Ireland, UK, European and global basis. Internationally we export some 240 different products to over 100 countries worldwide.
The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland
Reporting to the Intake and Process Manager, we are now seeking applications for the position of Production Supervisor – Creamery Factory based in Bailieborough.

The role requires a confident self-starter to lead and motivate a skilled team to perform at their best. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to actively influence and persuade colleagues during periods of change. The successful candidate must have a flexible and adaptable approach and with the ability to achieve tasks and overcome problems while providing direction to others. The successful candidate will be resilient with the capability to deal with pressurised situations and deadlines.
Experience:
The position requires an individual with a number of years’ experience in the food industry.

Reporting to the Intake and Process Manager, we are now seeking applications for the position of Production Supervisor – Creamery Factory based in Bailieborough.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Manage the day-to-day operational running of the milk intake, separation, powder blending, evaporation, butter production and skim/cream dispatch areas.
- Demonstrate leadership and provide work direction, and guidance to direct reportees in performance of their roles.
- Identify any training and development needs of the team and ensure appropriate training plans are put in place to meet these needs.
- Ensure all aspects of the production process are recorded correctly and in a timely manner on the system. Invesitgate and correct any issues relating to records.
- Assist in the monitoring and reporting of the area KPI’s.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement ensuring that best practice is understood and implemented.
