TWM Operative (Roche) 2.5 year fixed-term contract

The position helps maintain responsibility for the operational waste management at a customer site (Roche Clarecastle) to ensure that movement of waste takes place correctly & compliantly and as contractually established between Indaver and the customer, in line with our procedures. Also waste management and housekeeping onsite is a part of the role. Shipping of sealed containers containing contaminated soil etc to Europe for treatment. Completion of all associated paperwork and checklists as part of this role

Role & Reponsibilities
- Ensures the internal collection of various waste materials on the site are brought to waste area.
- Carries out unloading and loading activities using the various logistical resources available onsite(depending on specific task/allocation and certification)
- Waste movements to be 100% accurate in line with waste legislation requirements
- Daily waste checks completed around site
- Handles the waste with the objective of transporting it to the waste area: sorting, bulking, repackaging
- Ensuring that the correct signs and identification are present at the various storage locations.
- Storage of the waste materials at the designated location around site.
- Management of empty receptacles
- Making waste materials ready for transport so they can be safely and correctly loaded for transport
Experience Required
- Leaving cert or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in waste management or relevant waste experience in Pharma/Production Petro-Chemical environments.
- Be able to work well on your own or as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Safe Pass (desirable but not essential as training will be provided)
- Chemical awareness and advantage
