Job Summary:
O'Hara's of Foxford, a renowned bakery, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Weigh Up Cake & Queens Operator to join our team. The role involves precise weighing of ingredients according to recipe specifications to support our daily production of cakes and queens. This is a crucial position in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products, working closely with the Cake Shift Manager and production team.
Key Responsibilities:
Weighing Ingredients:

• Weigh up ingredient mixes according to the Recipe Manual and daily Production List.
• Ensure all ingredients are accurately weighed and prepared for bakery production.
• Label all ingredient bins before issuing them to the bakery floor.

Quality Control & Documentation:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Critical Control Points (C.C.P) in the weigh-up area.
• Complete and sign off on all relevant Quality Control documentation, ensuring proper filing.
• Report any ingredient quality issues or problems to the Shift Manager immediately.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Stores Control and ingredient rejection when necessary.

Stock & Equipment Management:

• Check and complete stores request forms for ingredients needed for the next day's production.
• Ensure that all ingredient bins requiring cleaning are placed in the steam cleaning room at the end of each shift.

Compliance & Audits:

• Comply with all hygiene, safety, and quality standards, wearing the proper uniform and protective gear at all times.
• Be audit-ready at all times, adhering to company policies and procedures, and familiarizing yourself with job-specific and cleaning instructions.

Flexibility & Teamwork:

• Be flexible with job assignments, assisting other areas as needed based on production demands or absenteeism.
• Cooperate with other team members and contribute to a productive and positive working environment.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in a production or food manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. Full training will be provided.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes and weigh ingredients precisely is essential.
• Team Player: Strong ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing production schedules.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills to report any issues and follow directions from the Shift Manager.
• Compliance & Safety: Must adhere to all clocking procedures, uniform policies, and food safety regulations at all times.

Hours of Work:

• Start times will vary and will be confirmed by your Shift Manager.
• Typical shifts are 8 hours long, with a 45-minute break, and break times are coordinated with your Shift Manager.
