Job Specification: ETA Workplace Integration & Projects Officer



Position Overview:
Vision Ireland is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Workplace Integration & Projects Officer to join its team. This role is pivotal in supporting the integration of individuals into the workforce, managing key projects, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the Employment, Training, and Academia (ETA) Team. The officer will also focus on boosting enrolments and referrals, ensuring QQI compliance and governance, and securing funding through applications, particularly at the EU level. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to inclusive education, project management, and the empowerment of individuals with sight loss.


This is a permanent full time position, 37 hours per week with a hybrid working option available.

Key Responsibilities:
Workplace Integration:
Lead initiatives that facilitate the integration of individuals with visual impairments into workplace environments.
Develop and maintain partnerships with businesses and organisations to create placement opportunities.
Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing support to ensure successful workplace integration.


Communications and Enrolments:
Develop and execute strategies to boost enrolments and referrals for the ETA programs.
Manage internal and external communications to promote program visibility and attract participants.
Collaborate with the marketing team to design and distribute promotional materials.


QQI Compliance and Governance:
Ensure that all educational programs adhere to QQI standards, including curriculum development, assessment, and reporting.
Oversee the implementation of governance practices to maintain high standards of compliance across all QQI activities.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure continuous improvement in program delivery.


Funding Applications:
Identify and pursue funding opportunities, with a focus on EU funding.
Prepare and submit comprehensive funding applications that align with organisational goals.
Manage relationships with funders and ensure compliance with funding requirements.


Orientation and Mobility Support::
Provide specialised Orientation and Mobility support in the southern region.
Work closely with the Orientation and Mobility network in vision Irealnd to ensure individuals receive the support they need.


Professional Development:
Continuously update knowledge and skills related to project management, inclusive education, and visual impairment.
Attend relevant workshops, conferences, and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.


Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work collaboratively with other Vision Ireland staff and external stakeholders to support a holistic approach to training and support services.
Engage in regular meetings to share best practices and ensure consistency in program delivery.


Qualifications and Requirements:
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in related Health & Social Care, Business, Communication
or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in project management, workplace integration, or a related role. Experience with QQI compliance and governance is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools. Knowledge of assistive technologies is an advantage.
Additional Training: Completion of an EU Project Management program, with demonstrated success in securing EU funding.
Key Competencies: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
