We are a strong and growing Heating & Plumbing manufacturers' rep agency serving all of New England and Upstate New York. We have an immediate full-time Outside Sales / Customer Service position on our heating team available.
The Outside Sales Representative will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new customers. This role focuses on the company’s heating lines with a direct focus on commercial products, and you will be working directly with wholesalers, key contractors, engineers and architects. The territory for this position is the Stamford, CT to Hudson Valley areas.
The salary for this position will be based on prior experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Identify and execute possible leads.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products and services that may be of interest.
- Work with Regional Managers associated with specific product/line categories.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems using our CRM.
- Develops new accounts through prospecting.
- Monitor industry competitors and new products.
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Participate in trade shows, wholesaler events, counter days, and other trade-related activities.
- Trains and educates up to 50 people at a time on new and existing products and services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to speak in front of an audience.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
- Solid interpersonal skills; a friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus.
- Ability to occasionally travel and do overnights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field;
- At least five years of related experience desired, will train a desired candidate. Salary will reflect experience and knowledge.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Driving throughout territory daily.
- Must be able to travel, some overnights.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
