*Job Summary*
As a Section 8 Manager, you will oversee the operations, leasing and management of properties participating in LIHTC and Section 8 programs. Your role involves ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, working closely with landlords, tenants, and managing social work aspects within the properties.
*Responsibilities*
- Manage leasing of LIHTC and Section 8 properties
- Reviews the owners lease and lease rerenwals to ensure that the lease and Housing Assistance Payment contract match on lease term and amounts on physical lease and in Yardi .
- Enter new lease or lease renewals into the Yardi system.
- Answers resident and landlord inquires and provides information on status of rent, and mediates problems between tenants and owners. Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with program clients and owners.
- Works with internal Legal team if necesarry with regard to LIHTC and Section 8 activities.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of program participants, rental agreements, and financial transactions.
- Implement and enforce property management policies and procedures
- Oversee and work with property management for inspections of rental properties to ensure they meet HUD's Housing Quality Standards
- Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations at all times
- Stay informed about changes in housing policies, regulations, and best practices.
*Qualifications*
- Experience in LIHTC and Section 8 property management
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowlegable with property manament software Yardi is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
