About the Role
This is a full-time role for Environmental Officer located in Ahmadi. As an Environmental Officer you will be responsible for overseeing environmental compliance and sustainability efforts within the project. You will develop and implement environmental policies, programs, and initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance, minimize environmental impact, and promote sustainability practices across all operations.

This is a full-time role for Environmental Officer located in Ahmadi. As an Environmental Officer you will be responsible for overseeing environmental compliance and sustainability efforts within the project. You will develop and implement environmental policies, programs, and initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance, minimize environmental impact, and promote sustainability practices across all operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, diploma in engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmentalist or as a HSE personnel, preferably in the construction industry.
- Must have one or more HSE certifications i.e., NEBOSH, IOSH, Industrial Safety, Construction Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, ISO 14001 / 45001, ASSP, Global Safety Management or relevant course.
- Must have valid transferrable residency in Kuwait.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and approvals as per project requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor project activities and identify potential environmental hazards or violations.
- Conduct environmental site assessments, including Phase I and Phase II assessments, to identify potential environmental risks and liabilities.
- Prepare environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and environmental management plans (EMPs) for the projects.
- Develop and implement sustainable practices and initiatives to minimize environmental impacts and promote resource conservation.
- Identify opportunities for waste reduction, recycling, and energy efficiency improvements on construction sites.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and project team to address environmental concerns and facilitate project approvals.
- Communicate with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with environmental requirements and commitments.
- Establish environmental monitoring programs to track key performance indicators and assess the effectiveness of mitigation measures.
- Prepare environmental reports, permit applications, and compliance documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
