Luxinnovation’s activities notably include support to innovative start-ups. The Start-Up Relations team challenges assumptions, business plans, financials, pitch decks and team skills to help innovative ventures optimise their fundamentals and key business areas. In addition, the team also manages Fit 4 Start, Luxembourg's leading start-up accelerator programme.
The mission of the Junior Advisor is to provide an initial level of support to early-stage and more advanced innovative start-ups in their development by providing guidance and act as a facilitator towards potential stakeholders. He/she will also have a promotion role within the start-up ecosystem by supporting innovative companies wishing to develop their activities in Luxembourg and contributing to the attractiveness of Luxembourg as an interesting business location for international start-ups.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supporting the first contact deal flow from various channels, the Junior Advisor identifies the needs of entrepreneurs with innovative projects, supports their development and assists them in integrating into the Luxembourg start-up ecosystem.
Review and analyse start-up pitch decks, business plans and financial documentation to identify relevant needs and guide entrepreneurs toward suitable Luxinnovation services.
Under the guidance of the programme manager, actively support and participate in the development and implementation of the Fit 4 Start programme.
Conduct due diligence, review state aid applications submitted by start-up and prepare the related analytical notes.
Support the programme manager in the development and implementation of the scaleup programme.
Participate in start-up events and actively promote Luxinnovation services to enhance the awareness and engagement within the entrepreneurial community.
Support in following and further developing account management processes, including ensuring integral documentation in the CRM system and assisting with data management tasks.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

You hold a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Economics, Corporate Finance, Business, Innovation & Entrepreneurship or a related field, and demonstrate a strong interest in innovation and technology.
You have initial relevant experience with exposure to start-ups and innovation, possibly through internships.
You demonstrate a strong interest in financial analysis and have proven analytical and consolidation skills.
Knowledge of strategic management tools (such as BMC, Lean Start-up, etc.) is considered an asset.
Fluency in English is mandatory, along with proficiency in Luxembourgish, and French.
You have excellent communication and writing skills and are used to have a leading role in meetings.
You demonstrate strong organisational and planning abilities.
You are a collaborative team player, able to work autonomously in a proactive manner.
