Job Description: Desktop Support Specialist
Location: Penang, Malaysia
Employment Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for Windows desktop systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
Respond to and resolve support tickets in a timely manner, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
Assist with the setup and deployment of new workstations and ensure proper functionality.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve support processes.
Document technical issues and resolutions for knowledge base and training purposes.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to end-users, ensuring a positive experience.
Participate in shift rotations as required to provide 24/7 support coverage.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11).
Strong understanding of desktop hardware and software troubleshooting.
Experience with Active Directory, VPNs, and remote desktop tools.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
