Enterprise Service Management (ESM) and Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management (CREFS) are two areas that form part of the backbone of an organisation. Both areas have ongoing innovations that make it exciting spaces to be part of and service management require an understanding of fundamental IT management practices.

The team

Within People and Hubs Enterprise Architecture we are looking for a new domain architect for two challenging domains: Enterprise Service Management and Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management. This architect will interface to a full business team for Corporate Real Estate and Facilities. Enterprise Service Management involves collaboration with multiple IT areas. This architecture role form part of a bigger Corporate Technology and Workplace Services architecture chapter of 10 architects overall. The team is based in Amsterdam and works to further develop ING’s global services.

Roles and responsibilities
As Enterprise Service Management and Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management Domain Architect you:

Translate policies and/or requirements into solutions
Create high-level architecture designs highlighting options, recommendations and implications.
Collaborate with and guide solution architects in both domains to create detailed solutions for implementations based on high-level designs, reference architectures and standards
Create reference architectures
Deliver architecture roadmaps
Compile quality architecture documentation and presentations to facilitate decision making
Organise and support workshops and presentations for decision making
Contribute or construct to the creation of global standards
Manage stakeholders across multiple departments in various countries
Build a strong collaborative relationship with the both areas, business (for Corporate Real Estate and Facilities) and IT Delivery (Corporate Technology area for both).
Become the go-to person for architecture for both domains
Are up to date with the latest technologies and trends with translation into implications for the organisation
Work independent under limited guidance with a strong drive to collaborate with other stakeholders
Participate and/or present in architecture governance forums as required
Manage your own features in the architecture team backlog ensuring completeness of descriptions, updates and committed start and end dates as aligned with the related Corporate Technology teams
Actively participate in broader quarterly planning and commitment sessions with the related Corporate Technology teams

You have at least 5 years of experience as an architect
Worked in Enterprise Service Management domain looking after IT Service Management solution/s related to support and servicing ticket management
And / Or worked in the Corporate Real Estate and Facilities domain related to building, physical access and facilities management
Willingness and ability to skill-up in whichever domain you have no extensive experience in currently
Have experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., financial institutions)
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical topics to various audiences.
Ability to develop strong and collaborative partnerships with organizational leaders.
You improve yourself constantly; and you challenge, improve and train others continuously.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field/ equivalent work experience.
Ability to develop strong and collaborative partnerships with organizational leaders.
Knowledge of and experience with IT architecture methodologies, processes (e.g. TOGAF), service management processes and an agile work environment.
