Now we are on the hunt for our new E-commerce Sales Intern to join our team in Amsterdam! This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on sales experience within the e-commerce channel in a growing company, all while making a significant positive impact in the world of cocoa.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- Business insights: understand how an FMCG company runs, including the relevance of KPIs and departments, key processes, and influencing customer behavior.
- E-commerce: gain understanding of how a brand succeeds in an online environment and how to work with key e-commerce tools, such as Shopify and Hotjar and Klavyio.
- Sales: learn the sales process for online customers, build a customer focused mind and execute growth plans.
- Stakeholder management: get insights into all features within e-commerce and learn how to work with customers to increase revenue, and how to work with our internal stakeholders.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Support smooth launches when Tony’s introduces new products! Think of gathering internal information, creating sales presentations to sell the idea to resellers, creating perfect online visibility, and sending samples and pack shots.
- Support in the analysis of the sales numbers to gain insights.
- Support the team in their marketing and sales activities, for example by setting live amazing product content and being part of the lead generation activities.
- Support on improving our newly launched Shopify-based web shop and help optimize our customer journey.
- Work closely with our chocofancare (customer service) team to make sure all communication around our e-commerce products runs smoothly and we can best support our customers where needed.
Job requirements:
- You’re studying for a relevant commercial HBO/university degree and are looking to gain practical experience in a real work environment with a sales focus.
- You are comfortable in working in Dutch.
- Raise the bar. Challenge yourself and team Tony’s to increase our ambition and to accomplish our mission. Make mistakes along the way and learn from them.

Here are the hard facts:
- Starting on February 3rd, you'll be part of our Tony's team for 6 months.
- We are all about being more in person than apart; this means we offer flexibility but see each other in our Amsterdam office on average 3-4 days a week. More is fine!
- You’ll be living in the Netherlands and enrolled in a school for the duration of the internship.

- As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of Tony's Chocolonely. You'll be challenged to raise the bar and make a real impact in the world.
- You'll have 14 vacation days over the six-month period, and we'll provide you with a monthly €550 internship allowance for a full-time (40 h) internship.
- Our office in Amsterdam Houthavens is a pretty sweet workplace - you'll enjoy a free fresh and tasty lunch, and plenty of snacks. We know how to work hard, but we also know how to have fun. And of course, you get to take home as much chocolate as you can carry.
