Qualifications and skills:
- Degree or Certification in teaching Arabic, education, or early childhood education preferred
- Native in Arabic
- Enthusiastic person with a vibrant and positive personality
- Pro-active, fun and dynamic
- Creative and pedagogical
- Have a passion for sharing native language
- At least 2 years experience as a tutor or teacher
- Available to work in Manhattan and,possibly Brooklyn and/or Queens
- Pre-school teaching or relevant experience with children a plus (for early childhood tutors)
- Pre-school or teaching certification/degree a plus
- Create a lesson plan and the content of each lesson
- Create fun, engaging and creative sessions
- Captivate the attention of young children
- Adapt lessons to each student's age, level, and learning goals
- Increase the confidence of students in using the target language
- Maintain logs and regular, timely reports
- Periodically assess students’ progress (per semester)
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
