Our language Center is looking for talented, experienced native Arabic language instructors for private, group lessons and camps taught on-site and off-site on an hourly, part-time contract (1099) basis in New York City.
Qualifications and skills:

• Degree or Certification in teaching Arabic, education, or early childhood education preferred
• Native in Arabic
• Enthusiastic person with a vibrant and positive personality
• Pro-active, fun and dynamic
• Creative and pedagogical
• Have a passion for sharing native language
• At least 2 years experience as a tutor or teacher
• Available to work in Manhattan and,possibly Brooklyn and/or Queens
• Pre-school teaching or relevant experience with children a plus (for early childhood tutors)
• Pre-school or teaching certification/degree a plus

Key responsibilities:

• Create a lesson plan and the content of each lesson
• Create fun, engaging and creative sessions
• Captivate the attention of young children
• Adapt lessons to each student's age, level, and learning goals
• Increase the confidence of students in using the target language
• Maintain logs and regular, timely reports
• Periodically assess students’ progress (per semester)

Must have US work authorization.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
