Your responsibilities
-
Define, implement and enforce NXP site and corporate EHS policies and procedures in sync with Dutch government environment, health & safety guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy work environment across all sites in NXP The Netherlands as well as reducing business and continuity risks within NXP-Nederland. Is an expert in the specific field

Develop and drive high quality standards in risk assessment, safety studies and incident investigation and analysis.

Define, maintain, implement and review the EHS Management Systems documents and procedures (EHS MS, including Seveso MS) according to Corporate guidance, legal requirements and ISO standards. Review the performance.

Interact with external Dutch entities and authorities, on EHS regulatory issues, including permits and reporting requirements such as the Seveso Safety Report (VR), environmental reporting and CSRD reporting. Collect and manage EHS related data to comply to these reporting requirements.

Have contact with industry partners on shared issues and best practices. Be the subject matter expert in the Seveso safety organization for NXP The Netherlands.

Collaborate with Management at ICN8, organizations in Nijmegen, Eindhoven and Delft, to achieve EHS goals and maintain effective partnerships. Involve stakeholders and drive projects and actions until successful implementation.

Use personal skills and technical knowledge and experience to drive or contribute in improvement projects and programs, including the Business Continuity Program.
Your profile
-
Masters or Bachelor degree (HBO/WO) in a technical or related field (Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, Safety, Environmental Engineering or Industrial Hygiene).

7-10 years of relevant experience in the EHS field and preferably in a chemical/industrial environment.

Excellent knowledge of Dutch EHS Legislation and standards ISO 14001, ISO45001 with experience in interacting with external Dutch entities, authorities and government officials.

Able to enthusiastically translate technical/complex issues into understandable language, getting to the essence of a problem and communicating on all levels.

You are able to work independently and across various functional groups globally to complete complex assignments.

You are a fast learner, you take initiative and ownership, you think out-of-the-box and you are able to engage, convince and motivate people, at all levels.

Excellent written and verbal Dutch and English communication skills.
