We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Accounting & Tax to lead our accounting and tax functions. This role, based in Hattem, Netherlands, will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and provide strategic direction for all matters related to accounting and taxation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and international accounting standards.
- Oversee the tax compliance process, including preparation of all corporate taxes, sales taxes, and various regulatory filings.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to minimize the overall tax liability and maximize compliance.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure smooth audits and compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure Goliath remains compliant.
- Train and mentor the accounting team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Participate in special projects and contribute to corporate financial strategy as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting and tax roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations, particularly in the consumer goods industry.
- Proven experience with financial planning, analysis, and strategic tax planning.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Business Central preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams and functions.
