To support this vision, we are looking for an experienced IT Security Officer to join our team at our headquarters in The Hague.
About the role
As an IT Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our data and systems. Your main goal will be to protect both company and customer data, ensuring business continuity and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with our Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team to implement "Security by Design" across our IT operations, advising on risk management, security controls, and incident responses.
Key responsibilities:

• Implementing and managing the "Security by Design" process to ensure our projects align with security standards.
• Overseeing the implementation of security controls across IT, ensuring adherence to privacy, continuity, and information control standards.
• Providing expert consultancy on IT risk, cybersecurity policies, and vulnerability management.
• Leading Security Impact Assessments, managing vulnerabilities, and guiding remediation efforts.
• Supporting security incident resolution and contributing to strategic improvements in our security frameworks.
• Collaborating on security awareness campaigns, ensuring that security is embedded in our culture.

You bring this

• HBO/WO level education with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Information Security, Network Security, Software Development, or IT Architecture.
• Strong advisory and communication skills, with a solid understanding of Security, Privacy, Business Continuity, and Information Risk Management (CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001, etc.).
• Experience in working with control frameworks in tech-driven environments.
• A proactive and forward-thinking mindset, always looking for ways to improve and future-proof our security measures.
