VARO Energy is a dynamic, fast developing, integrated European downstream company launched in 2012. Our ambitious acquisition and integration strategy created a major energy company that cares for its customers across North-Western Europe. We have a solid background in traditional energies, with a refining capacity of 176,000 bbl./day and a total storage capacity of almost 2,5mio m3.
In the meantime, through our ONE VARO strategy, we are transforming ourselves into a leading energy transition company with a strong strategic focus on green hydrogen, bio-methane and bio-LNG, biofuels, carbon offsets and E-mobility. Renewables already contribute half of our total annual result and we are looking to expand further in this area. Leveraging our knowledge in the renewables space will not only allow us to make a positive contribution to the energy transition, it will also enable us to further grow our market share. We will do so via our strong marketing organisation with activities in wholesale, retail and end-consumer deliveries. In combination with our sophisticated supply & trading and biofuels organisation, we excel at unlocking value from our Integrated Fuels Value Chains (FVCs).

THE POSITION
As a Barge Execution Specialist, you will be a key member of our Supply Chain team, responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of barge operations across all our regions. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth logistics and facilitating collaboration between various internal teams and external stakeholders.

THE POSITION
As a Barge Execution Specialist, you will be a key member of our Supply Chain team, responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of barge operations across all our regions. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth logistics and facilitating collaboration between various internal teams and external stakeholders.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the execution of the terminal supply schedule as developed by the optimization teams, ensuring timely communication and flawless implementation.

Liaise daily with logistic service providers (LSPs) and terminals to inform them of load and discharge schedules.

Collaborate closely with traders regarding contract positions and send nominations to suppliers, ensuring that operations align with commercial expectations.

Manage the accurate processing of Bill of Ladings (B/Ls) and Certificates of Analysis (Co As) to ensure compliance and documentation consistency.

Monitor and ensure data consistency between JDE and Vista, initiating master data updates and corrections related to barge operations.

Align and regularly update ADN (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways) details to ensure regulatory compliance.
YOUR PROFILE

Educated to at least MBO level, ideally in a commercial or logistics discipline;

Experienced with ERP systems (such as JDE or EPRM) and has a background or strong interest in oil trading, particularly with an understanding of its financial implications;

An excellent communicator, with strong language skills. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of German is a plus;
-
Highly organized and detailed-oriented, capable of managing complex logistics and data processing tasks with precision.
