We at Smart Ranking are looking for a Junior SEO Specialist to support us for 12 to 16 hours per week. In this role, you will help our clients to improve their visibility on the German market.
Your role
As a Junior SEO Specialist, you will work for various clients - mainly Dutch companies that want to take off in Germany. Your main task is to increase their online visibility. You will work on a variety of marketing tasks, including keyword research, competitor analysis, EEAT analysis and on-page optimisation. If these terms don't mean anything to you yet, don't worry - we'll teach you everything you need to know! Together with your colleagues, you will develop strategies to ensure the success of our customers. Sometimes you will actively work on websites, or for example, you will check whether our clients have implemented our recommendations correctly. Your success is closely linked to the success of our clients, and you will gain valuable professional experience that will prepare you optimally for entering the world of work.
About you
You are a marketing or communications student at Hanze University of Applied Sciences or the University of Groningen. You would like a part-time job alongside your studies and learn more about marketing. Moreover, of all the marketing channels, you have a preference for SEO.
Preferably, you have experience with marketing at a marketing agency or with a client. This may have been an internship period, for example. Also, you know what SEO is and have basic knowledge of this marketing channel. It is okay if you don't know everything yet. We happily teach you!

• Excellent writing and speaking skills in German, strong command of English, and a basic knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Google Analytics.
• Basic knowledge of SEO and SEO tools, for example Google Search Console, Semrush and SE Ranking. We are happy to help you with guidance to gain more Knowledge about SEO and the tools.
