Product Manager
FULL TIME
October 3, 2024
Why?
Every swipe, every like, every Tik Tok video we upload, every Zoom call we have, every Netflix video we watch, or everything we buy online is all processed and depends on… data centers. However, these data centers consume large amounts of energy due to the underlying technology we use every day all day.
How?
We have developed an AI-based analytics platform that captures the entire data center (DC) infrastructure - "from roof to room" - to bring the whole DC into a more optimal state. Saving energy and increasing reliability that results in a more sustainable data center in countries like Germany, France, Switzerland, UK, Ireland and The Netherlands.
What you’ll do
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Product Owner to join our dynamic product team. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and delivery of our technical B2B Saa S platform. While deep experience is not required, we are looking for someone with practical experience in product ownership and a genuine eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of our platform. Your enthusiasm, problem-solving attitude, and collaboration skills will be key to excelling in this role.
Additionally you will
- Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the product vision and roadmap set by the Product Manager.
- Break down high-level features into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with the development team to define detailed user stories and technical requirements that align with the product’s overall objectives.
- Clarify and refine user stories throughout the sprint cycle based on team input and project needs.
- Actively participate in sprint planning sessions to ensure that the most valuable work is prioritized.
- Ensure that each sprint has clear deliverables and that the development team understands what’s expected.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager, engineers, data scientists, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless execution of product features.
- Provide the development team with clarity on goals, priorities, and user requirements.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical team members.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure the product delivers value.
- Regularly provide updates on sprint progress, backlog prioritization, and overall product development to key stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and motivated team environment by demonstrating passion and enthusiasm for the product and the development process.
- Support and unblock the team by addressing any questions, dependencies, or issues that arise during development.
- Embrace opportunities for learning and development, whether through feedback from senior team members, hands-on experience, or training.
- Keep up to date with Agile best practices, industry trends, and the latest in AI and machine learning advancements.
- Assist the Product Manager in ensuring the product vision is understood and translated into actionable items.
- Help communicate the product’s long-term objectives to the team, ensuring that day-to-day tasks align with the overall strategy.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a product ownership or related role (product management, business analysis, or project management) or engineering role where you’ve gained an understanding of what a Product Owner is about.
- Basic understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum or Kanban.
- Some familiarity with software development processes, data science, or AI-driven products is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team and be an enthusiastic team player.
- Passionate about product development and eager to grow and learn within the role.
- Enthusiastic about solving complex challenges in an innovative, AI-driven B2B Saa S environment.
- Open to feedback, coachable, and driven by continuous improvement.
- Working on making the world of data centers more sustainable
- Enjoy a competitive salary, pension scheme, holiday allowance, and disability insurance.
- Our goal is to increase our impact and grow. We want you to grow with us and offer an Employee Stock Option Plan.
- A hybrid home-office-remote policy with flexible working hours where we value your regular presence to enjoy team dynamics, but we like to support the flexibility that fits your daily rhythm and preference.
- Lots of mobility options, where we provide a lease car, public transportation subscription, or company bike, or we’ll reimburse your travels when you prefer to use your own means of mobility.
- Lots of opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Join activities like meetups or (business) events.
- Work abroad with the team, where we combine good weather, a great environment, and good food.
- And above all: a fun and enthusiastic team that values a diverse and transparent culture.
At our company, we highly appreciate and encourage diversity. We believe it is crucial to achieving success and being the responsible company we want to be. However, our company currently cannot sponsor any work visas.
