Product Owner ROCK
At this point you are probably wondering, what is ROCK? It was a bit too long to explain in the title, but is stands for Risk based on Customer Knowledge and is a collection of systems supporting our Compliance, Risk, Legal and Financial Economic Crime departments. We use the ROCK system to take preventive measures against money laundering and terrorist financing.
In the role of Product Owner, you are responsible to create a list of backlog items and prioritize them based on the overall strategy and business objectives. Additionally, the Product Owner will need to map out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development.

Day to day:

• User Stories: Optimal translation of customer needs and demands into complete and clear user stories, leading to optimal performance of the Agile team.
• Backlog: The team back-log is always complete and up to date. Prioritization reflects business value add.
• Definition of Done: Acceptance criteria are clearly formulated, accepted and understood for the compete Agile team by the start of every sprint.
• Agile Team Management: Team members receive regular feedback, based on the DLL job framework and company core values. If team members do not report directly into the Product Owner, the hiring manager receives feedback both proactively as well as reactively if needed.
• Resource Management: The team is optimally staffed both in capabilities, seniority as in size. Balancing team output and costs.
• PI Planning: Other SCRUM teams in the ROCK Agile Release Train or stakeholders are always informed about the backlog and planning of the team. Dependencies are timely recognized and managed ensuring customer expectations are met.
• Context Awareness: The release of the product reflects the definition of the requirements. The products delivered do not lead to security breaches and are in line with DLL’s architectural standards.

Essentials:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services and preferably knowledge about compliance in relation to client onboarding
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the maintenance of systems or in a comparable role
• Affinity with user management and user change management procedures
• Ability to translate functional requirements into IT capabilities and vice versa.
• Ability to manage a large group of diverse stakeholders and building the bridge between those stakeholder groups
• Knowledge on the Segregation of Duty and relevant process and risk controls is preferred
• Knowledge of Compliance and more specific of Anti-Money Laundering and related regulations is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch language is a pre
• You are eligible to work in the Netherlands and able to work several day per week in our Eindhoven office
