Seed Technology Implementation Specialist
The Seed Technology Implementation Specialist serves as a critical link between Seed Processing and Seed Production Innovation. This role is responsible for integrating new technologies into local environments to enhance seed quality, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce costs, all in alignment with the broader Seed Technology Solutions strategy. The specialist is the primary point of contact for managing complaints related to seed technology processes, providing immediate support to resolve issues efficiently. With a strong technical understanding and sound judgment, you solve complex seed technology problems and ensures smooth operations. Additionally, the Seed Technology Specialist plays a key role in transferring new seed technologies to other processing sites, promoting consistency and best practices across locations.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Member of the Seed Technology Community of Practice.
- Responsible for phase 4 and 5 project management including leading and conducting Seed Technology implementation hands on in the factory, statistical data analysis, reporting and communication.
- Provides proactively data driven support and decisions by taking initiative and applying fast learning.
- Provides first in line support when it comes to complaint management related to Seed Technology processes by identifying root causes of problems. Considers potential solutions by employing multiple problem-solving strategies that are in line with the global Seed Technology Solution strategy.
- Leverages insights from relevant colleagues by maintaining connections with peers, specialists as well as with representatives in Seed Processing, SPI, Quality.
- Contributes to innovation with own ideas and can channel requests from Seed Processing to Vegetable Innovation and Seed Technology Solutions.
- Leads the management of change and responsible for training employees on new protocols in Seed Processing.
- Owns and writes procedures and handles communication about them.
- Supports method transfer of new seed technologies to other processing sites.
- Makes use of company IT systems to document results and ensuring future FTO.
- Participates in departmental ISO quality audits.
WHO ARE YOU
- MSc in Agricultural Science, Agronomy or Biology field required, MSc 5 years, BSc 8-10 years or other relevant experience
- A track record of successful project delivery and implementation.
- Excellent people, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication – oral, written, under diverse circumstances and audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and focus on outcomes.
- Capacity to influence within an organization and across functions.
- Very strong ability to navigate in a multicultural environment with focus on collaboration and inclusion.
