In the Cloud tribe, in the Data Services area a position of Engineer with focus on Ansible Automation for Oracle DBaa S has become available.

As Ansible Engineer you will be part of Oracle Database as a Service called ‘Oracle DBaa S’. We create and deliver high quality DBaa S Cloud Services for our ING consumers worldwide. Several squads provide and maintains Oracle database platform and take responsibility for the full life-cycle of the service including self service capabilities. We take care of high availability, good performance and security. Part of our responsibilities is supporting current consumers requests and incidents. All changes are done via our Azure Dev Ops pipeline(s). Every day we cooperate in an international team with our colleagues from several countries.

Oracle Database as a Service (‘Oracle DBaa S’) is part of the Area Data Services and is all about delivering multi-tenant Oracle database services to Dev Ops teams of ING worldwide, including self service capabilities. The 6 DBaa S squads, working in different countries, take responsibility for the full life-cycle of the service from inception through to development, launch & support. The squads are not only responsible for the service, but also the hardware the service running on.

We are looking for you, if you:

• Have 3-5 years scripting experience with Ansible
• Have good understanding of Oracle RDBMS environment (RAC, Data Guard)
• Experience with building and running pipelines (Azure preferred)
• Linux experience
• Well versed in CI/CD tools
• Are customer focused and proactive with very good communication skills
• Enjoy working in an international team

• Being familiar with EXADATA environment
• Scripting experience (Bash)
• Know programming languages such as: Python / SQL
• Strong Team Player and Experience in working with teams’ cross countries
• A strong understanding of Agile-Scrum methodology

• Develop and automate service using Ansible playbooks
• Simplify processes, ensure more efficient configuration, software installation and maintenance of servers
• Project and implement changes connected with Infrastructure as a Code
• Manage and update multiple machines in multi-tenant Oracle environment
• Improve DBaa S security by automation
• Analyze, design, develop, test and deploy IT systems to achieve business goal
• Record and recognize dependencies to other systems and processes
• Understand the detailed technical behavior of your system to deliver high quality support to users
• Create and improve Azure Dev Ops pipelines
