Move forward as Senior Teamlead Logistic Coordinator at DSV in Schiphol

Our team of logistic coordinators already has the necessary knowledge and expertise and is now looking for a go-getter to focus on process optimization within our temperature-controlled storage of healthcare products. Oh, and this position is brand new! That means you will have the opportunity to shape it further together with the healthcare manager. How exciting is that?


You get it done
With your background in logistics or warehousing, you can quickly assess the available capacity in our temperature-controlled warehouse. Do all incoming orders fit within the available space? What capacity remains to take on new orders? Or why do we sometimes encounter operational bottlenecks at the end of the day? These are the kinds of challenges that excite you. You easily identify issues in the logistics flow and collaborate with colleagues to find more efficient ways of working. Additionally, you will help develop work instructions and perform operational tasks to ensure a smooth flow of goods. You are on it.

How you do this? By working closely with your team of logistic coordinators, consulting with inside sales, the warehouse manager and team leaders. You will also serve as the link between our external warehouse provider and the operation. You will leverage your skills to coordinate all goods flows and optimize the logistics flow within our warehouse. You achieve this by:

• coordinating all logistics activities between the wms and our healthcare department;
• bringing stability to operations and ensuring continuity for the department by setting the right priorities and identifying critical points;
• managing inventory, advising on available storage capacity and proposing optimizations;
• keeping an overview of what is happening in the warehouse and how much space is available for sales;
• creating documentation, reports, work instructions and coaching logistic coordinators while consulting with various stakeholders.

You bring

• work experience with logistics flows in a warehouse environment;
• strong analytical skills and experience in process optimization of logistic flows;
• leadership abilities; you turn challenges into solutions;
• experience with healthcare freight forwarding is a plus.
