Curious about sustainability and the vast opportunities that the solar industry holds? Getting started in this growing industry can be daunting. With this job, we offer you a look into the beating heart of our organization network. We’re in the process of upgrading our public online database of solar industry organizations and our internal CRM database of client relations and we need some extra hands, sharp eyes, and structured brains to help process, tag, link, and convert customer records and industry information. By doing so and working with both our platform and our business development teams, you’ll quickly gain an impression of the breadth of the solar PV industry and the organizations populating its value chain.
Before starting, you will receive guidance and gain access to knowledge and onboarding resources to learn some of the basics regarding the solar industry and solar value chain. You’ll work together with the international team of Solarplaza.

We offer knowledge, consultancy, education, and networking solutions for the renewable energy industry in established and emerging markets across the globe. This year we celebrate our 20th anniversary. With 40+ young, ambitious, professionals from 15 different countries, we work, from our centrally-located Rotterdam office, on our mission to positively impact the world by accelerating the renewable energy transition.
Your role and mission

Processing company data and historical purchasing data in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (Salesforce) and in our custom Content Management System (CMS).

Internet research: collecting and verifying information on companies and organizations.

Categorizing solar organizations based on their services, products and geo-focus.

Filling in missing information and completing organization entries.

Suggest improvements, refinements, and upgrades in a close feedback loop with the other team members.
What we expect from you
-
Currently enrolled in higher education (university / college / “hoge school”).

Technical, Engineering, Life Sciences, or Economic background with an interest in Renewable Energy.

Self-incentivized, getting-things-done mentality.

Able to work independently and remotely.

Precise and accurate, eye for detail, diligent in research.

Curious/learning mindset.
-
Experience with CRM software or CMSs would be a plus, but is not a requirement (if you’re a bit tech-savvy, diligent, and precise, you’ll get the hang of it soon enough).

Fluent in English.
We are looking for students with an availability of 12-16 hours per week, for at least 4 months. To facilitate teamwork and collaboration, we are looking for students located in The Netherlands, ideally in the vicinity of Rotterdam.
