Teacher for the subject Contemporary Piano Repertoire Class
(24 teaching hours per academic year)

What will you do?
The position entails:

• Coaching a 2-year course for two groups of students from bachelor year 3 and 4 in exploring contemporary repertoire on the piano. Each group follows a total of four classes of three hours each per academic year.
• collaborating closely with the main subject teachers of the piano section.

Your profile
The ideal candidate:

• is a dynamic musical personality with artistic and pedagogical abilities and expertise in contemporary piano repertoire;
• has demonstrable affinity with the mission and vision of the Royal Conservatoire;
• holds a Master of Music or equivalent (foreign) diploma;
• is willing to complete the conservatoire’s “Artist as Teacher” training (thus obtaining a BKE-certificate);
• shows interest in and has affinity with the relation between performance, research and professional activities;
• is proficient in English and able to operate in an international

Our organisation
The Royal Conservatoire, together with the Royal Academy of Art, forms the University of the Arts The Hague. We offer HBO bachelor and master education, various preparatory courses, and in collaboration with Leiden University electives and a Ph D programme.
