Associate Delivery Lead - Expression of Interest

Mō te tūranga | About the Role
  • Support Programme Management. Assist in the planning, coordination, structure and execution of programme activities under the guidance of Delivery Lead/Programme Manager.
  • Delivery Framework & Governance. Support delivery in accordance with the WNZL delivery framework including ensuring performance remains within acceptable tolerances. Maintain project and stage gate artefact's and ensure they are in place for approval by key business stakeholders and ensure acceptance criteria is met. Maintain Jira and other enterprise tools as required.
  • Risk, Issues, Assumptions and Dependency management. Proactively maintain project registers and escalate to senior delivery leads as necessary. Follow-up on decisions, actions, risks and issues and change requests to ensure appropriate and timely resolution.
  • Stakeholder and Project Communication. Facilitate communication between stakeholders, project teams and senior management. Act as a liaison to ensure that all parties are informed of project progress, issues and dependencies. Facilitate the creation of Steer Co and project presentations for governance purposes.
  • Financial Management. Monitor project costs and ensure delivery is within budget and any increases are identified and escalated where required.
  • Perform related duties as assigned, within the scope of role and as required by the Programme.

  • Demonstrated understanding of project management principles,methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience of Programme and Project Governance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills in order to prioritise tasks.
  • Financial budgeting experience
Desirable

  • Understanding of project management tools and software such as Jira.
  • Understanding of Industry knowledge in which the programme or initiative operates.
  • Proactive attitude towards process improvement and willingness to embrace new tools, techniques and methodologies to enhance project outcomes
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
