The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated Building Services Engineer with at least three years of experience in a similar role with a construction main contractor working across varied commercial projects. This position requires a strong mechanical and/or electrical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service for our clients. The successful candidate will provide technical support, coordinate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors, and supervise the installation of various building services. They will foster a collaborative work environment, uphold safety standards, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for building services projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Supervise installations of mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic, and drainage services.
  • Ensure adherence to New Zealand Building Code Standards.
  • Foster a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.
  • Uphold a commitment to safety and zero accidents.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and innovative solutions.
  • Take ownership of project outcomes and ensure successful delivery.
Required Skills:
  • At least three years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical background from Trade or Tertiary.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of core service disciplines and building codes.
  • Disciplined, self-motivated work ethic.
  • Ability to nurture stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively.
