**Days Required:** Tuesdays to Sundays, at least 30 hours per week
**Job Description:**
BD & MR FOOD LTD is seeking talented chefs to join our busy lunch bar located in Auckland. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about food and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Planning menus, estimating food and labor costs, and ordering food supplies.
- Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians, kitchen, and waiting staff.
- Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on procedures.
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes.
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations.
- Selecting and training kitchen staff.
- Freezing and preserving foods as necessary.
- Planning and organizing the preparation and cooking of food in a dining or catering establishment.
- At least three years of relevant experience, or
- An Occupational Skills Testing Authority Certificate in traditional cuisine, Level 3, may substitute the required work experience, or
- A Level 4 or higher qualification.
