Key Responsibilities:
- Create a well-balanced menu.
- Manage food and wage costs, working within a budget.
- Prepare labor and COG budgets.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels.
- Discussing food preparation issues with Manager, Dietitians and kitchen staff.
- Lead the team around you, training them with techniques to excel in quality preparations.
- Prepare dishes with high-quality standards.
- Operate the kitchen according to food hygiene guidelines, rostering, ordering, FCP, and Health and Safety.
- Competent in preparing, cooking and serving food that follows our recipes
- Committed to the highest standards of cleanliness, and adhering to our policies and procedures
- A cheerful multi-tasker, with strong organisational and time management skills
- Adhere to the Food Control Plan and enforce hygiene and food preparation standards with kitchen staff.
What we need from you / Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in kitchen as chef or cook or in a similar role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to cleanliness and policy adherence.
- Excellent communication skills, communicating with staff and management.
- Be creative in crafting unique and visually appealing dishes.
What We Offer:
- A minimum of 30 hours per week. From Monday to Sunday, must be able to work rostered and rotating shifts including weekends.
- This is a full time, permanent position.
- Competitive Salary of $32.00 per hour.
