Main duties:
- Contribute to menu development and innovation by suggesting new dishes, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking methods, presentation, and food safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the management team to oversee inventory, control costs, and maximize profitability.
- Address customer inquiries, special requests, and dietary preferences to deliver exceptional service.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including stir-fries, barbecued items, fried foods, and Chinese cuisine.
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation to maintain our high standards.
- Work with the management team to optimize workflow and enhance efficiency, especially during peak times.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations to uphold health standards.
- Can work on the roster.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Three years of experience working in a commercial kitchen is a must.
- Proved knowledge and experience of cooking Chinese cuisine.
- Must possess a keen eye for detail and a hard-working attitude.
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.
- Must maintain personal cleanliness to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- The successful candidate must pass a police check and drug test.
