The Opportunity | Te kōwhiringa
As a Commercial Manager within the transport and infrastructure regional business, you will be a key member of the extended leadership team and will be responsible for the contractual, financial and risk management within the business. You will work closely with the Regional Senior Management Teams, along with the T&I South Leadership Team to deliver longer term outcomes whilst also integrating with operational teams to resolve short term customer issues
We are flexible on the location for the right candidate, with options across the South Island, including Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington, Hawkes Bay, Gisborne, or Palmerston North.

The Opportunity | Te kōwhiringa

You will;
- Ensure sound commercial, financial, contractual and business practices are applied to all Business operations consistent with National policy and business systems
- Contribute to the development and growth of the business and implementation of strategy
- Provide commercial, contractual and risk management expertise to improve business performance and project outcomes. Develop Commercial awareness through training, workshops and mentoring.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent, e.g. BSc, RICS, NZCQS or equivalent.
- It is essential to have experience of providing management support in the construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven management experience with responsibility and accountability for staff, plant and return on investment
- A collaborative approach to working within and across multi-functional teams from different parts of the business Well-developed written, verbal and computer/software skills
