About the opportunity | Te whai waahi

As Consenting and Policy Project Manager you will primarily manage a portfolio of resource consent applications and policy projects for our manufacturing sites, as well as providing support on projects related to water, wastewater and solid waste.
As a key member of Global Sustainability, you will be responsible for managing strategic consenting processes and timely consent renewals to support a consistent approach to our environmental management and drive for excellence in environmental performance.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Managing resource consent applications and policy projects, including consultants who support these.
  • Providing support to investigations in the water, wastewater and solid waste areas.
  • Providing leadership and management to Environmental Managers and Site staff with technical expertise and guidance on resource consents and policy projects

This role offers great exposure to work with our sites at a national level and to develop and strengthen key stakeholder relationships.

For this opportunity, you will need to be Auckland, Hamilton or Christchurch based and be able to travel nationally as required.

Please note this is a fixed term opportunity that will run until December 2026.
About you | Moe koe

We are looking for someone with an extensive planning and policy background who is an excellent communicator, comfortable working across a diverse internal and external stakeholder group (such as Environmental Managers, Councils, Iwi, DOC etc) and able to build effective and influential relationships.
Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in environmental management, science or engineering field with a sound understanding in environmental management and statutory and regulatory requirements. Knowledge in dairy and water or wastewater processes would be advantageous.

Are you excited about this opportunity but may only meet some requirements?
That's not a problem. We are committed to growing our internal talent and building a diverse workplace; therefore, we are open to looking at applicants with excellent transferable skills. If that's you, we encourage you to apply as you may be the right candidate for this role or one of our other opportunities.

Applications will close on Thursday 28th of November at midnight.
