Director, Te Puna Ako - Centre for Tertiary Teaching and Learning

You will engage with students and staff across the University of Waikato to enhance the quality of teaching and learning through innovation and change. This is a unique opportunity working within a multi-disciplinary centre that encompasses a large and varied scope across our multifaceted organisation.
You will be comfortable managing complex portfolios, high-performing teams, and time-constrained priorities, as this role has it all. From professional development design, implementation, and delivery to programme expansion, you will explore new ideas to combat the current challenges of the tertiary education landscape.
As a strategic leader, you will be passionate about developing and designing the curriculum for domestic and international partnerships and research opportunities aligned with the University's strategy. Using your experience in tertiary education, you will lead curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment design, including learning and teaching technologies (artificial intelligence), which encompasses research projects in the scholarship of learning and teaching.
Drawing on your previous experience in an educational management role, you will have an understanding of Kaupapa Māori and Pacific pedagogies, recognize the varied needs of students (learner styles and analytics), and ensure that students and staff develop their professional and academic English language skills.
We are looking for someone who holds a Ph D in a relevant field, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
