ECE Kaiako Māngere Bridge Kindergarten

Calling passionate ECE kaiako to join our collaborative and innovative team at Mangere Bridge Kindergarten, offering a permanent, full-time position.

Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmariki | Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA)
We're a leading provider of early childhood education, fostering a multicultural environment and a love of lifelong learning for tamariki.

Māngere Bridge Kindergarten:

We are a creative and innovative learning environment. Our kindergarten is a partnership between our kaiako, tamariki, whānau and the community. We are committed to Te tiriti o Waitangi, acknowledging Māori as Tangata Whenua of Aotearoa New Zealand. We believe in the value of play and the sociocultural nature of play-based learning.

We celebrate the freedom to explore and discover through creativity and wonder. Our Kindergarten environment encourages tamariki to test ideas, to innovate, to problem find and problem solve. We value tamariki learning through risk and challenge, having the opportunity to lead, ask questions and take ownership of their learning. As an Enviroschool, our commitment to care for our whenua is embedded in our practice and curriculum. We have great relationships with our local Kura and enjoy spending Mondays at Ambury Farm as a part of our weekly curriculum.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Fully registered and certified ECE kaiako with a passion for play based learning.
  • Current first Aid certificate.
  • Supports tamariki in becoming independent and confident learners.
  • Collaborative kaiako who is committed to professional growth and learning alongside tamariki.
  • An interest in nature-based education and happy to be in the great outdoors.
  • Passion for sustainability and an interest in the Enviroschools kaupapa.
  • Flexible, open minded and a team player.
  • Enthusiastic and reflective team player with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Skilled in planning, assessment and documentation.
  • Enjoys getting down to the tamariki level and fostering a hands-on learning environment.
  • Committed to biculturalism and inclusivity, valuing diverse perspectives.
