Job Description
We have multiple exciting opportunities to join our Hamper Making and Christmas Shop teams to support us during the festive season.
What an exciting time to be joining the business, the magic of Christmas is truly celebrated here! There are few places where you'll find the joy of the season bubbling over to enchant both young and old. The wonderous experience of Christmas is found at Ballantynes … a store like no other. Through the doors of our store, enter a world where Christmas beckons on every floor and share the wonder of our animated windows, which are a magical sight to behold.
Hamper Making
If you love working with beautiful products, have an eye for detail and good visual arrangement skills, then you will enjoy making these incredible and very popular Christmas hampers.
The role will involve making our food and wine gift hampers utilising products from all over the world as well as NZ. You will be based in our despatch/ delivery area, recreating the various designs of hampers, making up to a 1000+ hampers along with one other person. Full training will be provided.
Attention to detail while working quickly, being methodical in your approach and working well under pressure will be key strengths of yours.
If you enjoy working independently, with initiative, and meeting deadlines then this is the role for you!
We are looking for two people to start Monday 2nd September, working Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.
Christmas Shop Sales staff
We are looking for positive, energetic, and reliable people to be part of our Christmas Crew Sales team, working in our absolutely beautiful but busy Christmas Shop. Previous retail and customer experience is desirable.
These roles are fixed term, applicants must be available to start Wednesday 18th of September and the positions will cease in early January. Hours likely to include weekends and some evenings.
Successful Candidates

Experience in a busy Retail and Customer Service environment

Additional Information
Hamper Making Roles: Start Monday 2nd September, working Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.
Christmas Shop Sales Staff: Start Wednesday 18th of September and the positions will cease in early January.
