Job Description
Working at Fulton Hogan:
Our people are the most important part of our business. That’s why we offer opportunities to challenge yourself, learn and grow within a culture that values your opinion and works hard to keep you passionate about making a difference. You’ll get the chance to work with and learn from the very best people in the industry in a wide range of locations across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll become part of a team where you’re listened to, cared for and respected.
We live and breathe our REAL values – Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude, Leadership – and we demonstrate these values through the work we do, every day, as one team.
The opportunity:
As a General Hand with our Northland region, you will be part of a team that delivers high quality infrastructure across New Zealand. We are looking to expand our talent pool with dedicated individuals who have the drive to make a difference. If you have a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a passion for getting the job done, we want to hear from you!
You’ll be a crucial part of our crews, contributing to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects that keep communities connected and thriving. We value our team members and provide a supportive environment where you can grow your skills and build a rewarding career.
In addition to the above you will:
  • Bring a good sense of humour and a positive vibe to the team.
  • Do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
  • Driven to take initiative and complete tasks independently.
To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Handle challenges and setbacks with a positive attitude and resilience.
  • Think on your feet and find practical solutions to obstacles.
  • Have a willingness to learn and eager to develop new skills and take on new responsibilities.
We’re looking for passionate people with a positive approach and a can-do attitude. If you’re open to learning new ideas and different ways of doing things, we’d love to hear from you.
To ensure our employees are well looked after, we offer a suite of benefits such as:
  • Medical insurance for you and your whānau.
  • Life insurance from day one.
  • Kiwi Saver employer contributions after service milestones up to 7%.
  • Fuel discount card.
  • Parental leave top-up payment with additional return to work support.
  • Family scholarships.
  • Ongoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunities.
  • Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.
Creating, connecting and caring for communities
Running a strong and successful business means we can support our local communities and keep creating opportunities for others to achieve their goals. We are locals, and seek to give back to the communities we live and work in. We’re proud to play a part in making our communities better and we feel privileged that they allow us to do so. We invest heavily to encourage wellbeing, diversity, environment, education and innovation.
Don’t delay, apply now.
All successful candidates must under-go and pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen.

We celebrate and embrace diversity across our business and are committed to equal employment opportunities.
We believe in the value that diversity brings to our team and people who share our REAL values are encouraged to apply
