Key responsibilities include:
- Reception Excellence: Provide a warm and welcoming reception experience for our guests, including check-in, guest registration, check-out, and handling payments accurately.
- Reservation Management: Manage online reservations, allocate rooms efficiently, and assist guests with new reservations made via phone, email, or in person.
- Local Knowledge: Offer accurate information about local attractions and services, including booking Real NZ & Cardrona summer experiences, to enhance our guests' stay.
- Housekeeping Support: Assist the housekeeping team with room and communal area cleaning when necessary, maintaining our high cleanliness standards.
- Fire Warden Duties: As a trained fire warden, take on responsibilities related to fire safety and be available on-site 3-5 nights per week to assist with overnight fire procedures.
- Previous experience in reception and housekeeping within a hostel or similar environment is preferred.
- A proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service to both guests and colleagues.
- Be receptive to feedback and actively participate in all required training and performance management programs as requested.
- Hold a valid Class 1 driver's license.
- Previous fire warden experience is a valuable asset.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative.
