Kaitohutohu Matua | Senior Advisor - Jobs for Nature Secretariat

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
The Secretariat team is responsible for supporting and overseeing the $1.185B Jobs for Nature programme across multiple delivery agencies. This includes supporting the programme's transition as it moves towards programme closure at the end of 2025.
The purpose of this role is to provide strategic guidance and operational delivery to ensure the effective implementation and management of the Jobs for Nature programme. This includes leading or supporting key programme workstreams including machinery of government, benefits and evaluation, and programme transition initiatives such as Tūhono Taiao.
This is a diverse role in a small team focused on successful programme closure and reporting.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

At least 7 years' experience in central government, including direct experience in with multi-agency funding programmes.
Experience working in large complex, funding programmes within the public sector and navigating different organisational cultures and priorities to deliver complex projects or programmes
Proven experience in machinery of government; writing briefings, responding to OIAs and WPQs, and preparing cabinet papers

Understanding of evaluation and benefits with practical experience applying this to large investment programmes and understanding of risk management is beneficial.
Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
Salary range for this role is from $108,976 up to $132,277 p/a. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
