Fonterra Oceania is our newly formed entity that merges the Fonterra Brands New Zealand (FBNZ) and Fonterra Australia operations, aimed at enhancing our competitive position in the trans-Tasman dairy market. The integration of Fonterra Brands New Zealand (FBNZ) and Fonterra Australia builds on similarities to outperform the competition, create scale and synergies, and will strengthen our competitive edge. This role will join a team that helps to build an even stronger trans-Tasman dairy business with reach across Oceania and beyond.
About the opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi
This is an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to gain invaluable experience working in our highly collaborative and successful Foodstuffs North Island team!
Reporting to the Business Manager Foodstuffs North Island, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end key account functions across the butter & spreads and flavoured milk categories. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders, leading strategic planning, and driving growth through targeted initiatives.
- Lead strategic account planning and execute sales strategies
- Maintain and grow key customer relationships
- Oversee forecasting processes and drive accurate results
- Implement new product development and promotional activities
- Optimise trade spending through the TPM tool
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver on sales targets.
Ideally you will be based in Auckland, however for the right candidates we are flexible on the location, if you are willing to travel to Auckland to build and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
This is a highly visible role and a strategic account that will give you lots of exposure, opportunity to develop your career and really leave a mark within Oceania. You will also be part of a supportive and passionate Sales & Account Management Community within Fonterra and wider Oceania Business Unit.
About you | Ko wai koe
We’re looking for someone who’s ready to hit the ground running. With your proven track record in sales and account management, ideally with experience in FMCG or the dairy industry, you’ll be well-equipped to take on this challenge. You’re a natural relationship-builder, skilled negotiator, and commercially savvy go-getter who knows how to drive results. Key skills and experience include:
- Experience in consumer sales, ideally in FMCG
- Solid experience managing customer relationships and working with multiple and varied stakeholders
- Tech savvy computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
- A sharp commercial mind with a strong understanding of financial outcomes
- Confidence presenting and solid negotiating skills
- Self-motivation with strong project management skills.
