Te Haeata/The Opportunity
We are seeking talented regulatory policy specialists to provide parental leave cover leading the Ministry's Anti Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) programme and policy analysis, development, and advice.
This is a fast-paced work environment that would suit experienced self-starters with great relationship management skills. These roles require a strong policy skill set, preferably with an emphasis on regulatory policy. A knowledge of AML/CFT is desirable, but not necessary.
Te āhuatunga a te tūranga / About the role
The Principal role requires a highly skilled policy practitioner with a depth of experience in regulatory policy settings. We are looking for someone who can:
- lead system-level thinking in complex policy areas
- shape and develop technical regulatory policy, from end to end
- proactively build successful working relationships with partner agencies and industry, and
- develop and mentor less experienced staff.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
The successful candidates will have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience. A national security clearance is not essential but may be of value.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $128,129 to $166,062 based on skills and experience.
