Te Korowai is a residential reintegration service in Upper Hutt for high risk people with complex needs. Te Korowai houses up to 11 men subject to Extended Supervision Orders and is designed to assist individuals to develop important life skills within a supportive and supervised environment in order to successfully reintegrate to the community.
About the Job

You will be required to engage with community agencies to provide reintegrative services and interventions.
Assist the supervisors to support the men with re-integrative activities in order to better support them to transition back to the community.

About the role | Mō te tūnga
Residential Supervisors are responsible for supporting the day-to-day reintegrative needs of residents with high and complex needs. Reporting to the Operations Lead, you will support the culture and development of the site while mentoring and supporting our team of Supervisors.
Key to the success of this role will be your ability to supervise, motivate and influence residents while working as a part of a small team. In addition, your ability to maintain clear and professional boundaries at all times, provide practical solutions to day-to-day issues, identify risk and effectively communicate with people at all levels is essential to the success of this role.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, eight hours per day during 0600 and 1800hrs as per operational requirements. This can be discussed further at interview.
About you | Mōu
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate;

Effective relationships within and outside of Corrections, with a wide range of people from all backgrounds
Composure in demanding situations
Experience supporting other staff to motivate residents to reduce their risk of re-offending
Mature approach to leadership and an ability to influence others
Proactive contribution to Corrections initiatives
Doing the right thing in the face of pressure to do otherwise
Experience working with people with complex needs
A history of good performance and behaviour
Adoption of Ara Poutama Aotearoa set of values and alignment to our Hōkai Rangi strategy.

The salary bracket for this role is $69,998 - $83,138 (based on 80 hours per fortnight)
