The MBIE Cyber Security Assurance team has realigned to meet our customers needs. This realignment has created several new permanent positions for cyber security professionals passionate about GRC and providing pragmatic advice to our business customers and project teams.

We’re looking for talented people that can fill this role;

Senior Cyber Security Assurance professionals that are experienced in providing pragmatic governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) advice to project teams and product owners in any of the following areas: business unit bespoke applications, Data Governance, Azure and AWS Cloud Platforms, Software products including Software-as-a-Service, IT infrastructure, Dev Ops… and more!

Senior Cyber Security Assurance professionals (multiple positions available)
You will be;

The IT Security GRC subject matter expert providing pragmatic advice to project teams, product owners and risk owners regarding cyber security related risks.
Experienced at reviewing documentation for systems, creating formal risk assessments, undertaking control validation assessments, arranging external testing and defining remediation actions.
Skilled at completing Certification and Accreditation documents and presenting them, with your findings and recommendations, to product and risk owners.
Able to identify cyber security remediation and improvements in existing IT systems and informing product owners.

Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience Required

10+ years’ experience in identifying, documenting and mitigating risks in one or more of the following technology arenas; Data, Cloud platforms, Saa S products, networks, traditional IT Infrastructure, bespoke applications, Dev Ops etc.
An in-depth understanding of cyber security standards and frameworks e.g.; NZISM, NIST, CIS, ISO27001, ISO19011
Proven ability to remain up to date in technical changes and opportunities within cyber security domain..

In addition to the experience, you will also need;

Cyber security relevant certification e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP etc
Must already be in NZ with a legal right to live and work here.
You must be able to meet the requirement obtain and retain “SECRET” clearance Not sure if you are eligible? – Check here.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a credit check to the satisfaction of MBIE in this recruitment process.
