This position reports to

Service Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service activities as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility. The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion Business Area in Mt Wellington, Auckland and will involve regular travel to customer sites in a variety of locations across New Zealand. You will be mainly accountable for: •Performing field service tasks, commissioning, upgrades, maintenance and product support •Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, proactive corrective actions and recommendations. •Preparing actions needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. •Working with the customer to improve the customer’s operations and reliability, reporting and recommendations

Qualifications for the role

• You are highly skilled in research and able to articulate technical documents and electrical schematics.
• You have 5 years of experience in relevant field working with power electronics, power converters, automation and industrial controls.
• Previous experience with ABB motion products e.g Drives, Motors, Controls
• Possess an enhanced knowledge in industrial and marine electrical systems and maintenance.
• Tertiary qualificaiton in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• NZ Electrictal License (or international equivalent)
• You are at ease communicating in English
