Kā pūkeka me kā wheako / Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring proven experience in the IT industry, supporting a variety of operating systems, information systems, and environments. You’ll also have experience with requirements analysis, test planning, execution, and defect management, along with working knowledge of test management tools.
An agile mindset, strong ownership, and accountability are key to thriving in this role.
- Experience testing ERP systems like Finance 1, e-Vision, Ascender, or Dynamics CRM.
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes and standards.
- Experience testing Mobile and Web Apps, with knowledge of HTML, CSS, and AJAX.
- Understanding of test data regulations (NZ data) and Māori Research Ethics.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., BDD) and cloud solutions (AWS, Azure Dev Ops).
- Experience with API and integration testing using tools like Soap UI.

At the University of Otago, you would be joining the team responsible for empowering the future of New Zealand thinkers every day. This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed term position from January until December 2025, located in Dunedin.
The appointment range is $70,602 to $76,668. Top of the range is $82,849 per annum.
